The Colour of My Soul

I often joke that teal is the colour of my soul. It’s a colour of dualities, it combines the calming properties of blue with the energizing growth mindset of green. It can be incredible sophisticated and a bit garish at the same time. Something about the hue speaks directly to my spirit and I hope it brings the same sense of intrigue on your wall.

This Button Triplet highlights different graduations of blue-green, ranging from kelly to cobalt. These pieces use a multitude of fabric scraps that each carry previous memory and history. There is a 1970’s iridescent silk curtains, my Sister’s Mother-in-laws quilting scraps, flight attendants scarf, interior designers fabric samples and geometric lace. I love how all these different colours and sources can come together and harmonize with a calming intensity.
